What are the must-do things to get done in relation to home improvements when trying to buy or sell a home?
“Sellers get one chance to make that first good impression. Often it is the “little” items that are most important: freshen the painting where time and little fingers have left their mark and repair/replace all known delayed maintenance items. If it is broken, fix it.” -Dianne
Any trends? What does the future look like for buying and selling?
“The 2023 market is hungry for inventory with buyers ready, willing and able to purchase homes. Interest rates remain steady. Buyers are forgiving and willing to be competitive. It is wonderful time to be a seller! For the buyers, the purchase of your new home could be lengthy and competitive. it may take a few tries to achieve the purchase of your new home but so worth it. Thankfully our Philadelphia real estate market remains a safe place to invest, live, educate our children and call home.” -Dianne

Any home improvement/design trends for 2023?
“I am seeing color come back in a big way! I am not seeing the color gray go away, but my clients are asking for more color across the board. The trend in hardwood flooring is definitely going lighter with new builds and renovations. Wallpaper remains popular, with grasscloth at the front of the line. My clients are continuing to ask for “light and crisp” bathrooms with marble-look tile and quartz countertops. Beautiful light fixtures make any room more interesting in addition to providing task or ambiance light as needed. And this is a big one for me, small upgrade that can make a big impact If someone is looking for the least expensive way to change the appearance of a room, I always suggest a new paint color to start.” -Danica
